So remember that great BC ski line from Karhu? Well no reason to fret as that same great line of skis still exists! The formerly named Guide, Tenth Mountain, and GT skis are now the Annum, Epoch, and Eon (respectively) by Madshus. It's the same tourable waxless BC ski line, just with different top sheats. So if you're looking to get out and make turns in the backcountry with friends and haven't quite figured out which ski will do the job I would seriously consider any one of these skis. The Guide recieved rave reviews for touring and powder turns as did the Tenth Mountain last year; this year's models should perform just as nicely, since they're the same thing underneath the new look. Last year's Camel's Hump Challenge participants were on either on what is now the Annum or Epoch (formerly the Guide and Tenth Mountains), skiing the 13-mile traverse around Camel's Hump. As for the classic GT, now the Eon, if you like kicking and gliding in and around your back yard - or even more adventurous skiing - the Eon delivers.
